Step1: first you need to buy pots. Then you buy a bag off potting soil. Then you buy a bag of compost. Then you buy 1 large bucket plastic.

Step 2: you go buy a banana plant 🪴 or you get it from a friend.

Step 3: grab a pot big enough to transfer the banana plant into. Add rocks to the bottom of the pot for drainage. You can also use coffee filters as substitute for rocks for drainage.

Step 4: using the big plastic bucket pour in or scoop in compost and potting soil and mix it up.

Step 5: scoop mixture of potting soil and compost into the new big pot that has ricks or coffee filters on the bottom of it. Fill up the pot with the mixture. Leave some room at the top.

Step 6: scoop out a whole in the middle with your hands or a shovel. Then grab the original banana plant from its original pot and transfer it into the bigger pot.

Step 7: add more of the mixture of potting soil and compost into the pot filling in the empty spots till the pot is filled. Lightly pat down the soil.

Step 8: water the newly transplanted banana plant 🪴!

Note: do not do this in the middle of the day to prevent shocking the plant.

If you have pots already at home you can reuse pots but they should be cleaned first (either scrubbed down with soap and water or you can use clorox to clean the pots but you need to put it into a big metal container and leave it there and make sure you use gloves bc clorox is harmful). Clean pots first and dry them out before reusing to prevent disease.

HAPPY planting!
